As private capital markets professionals,
investor protection is our responsibility.
How do you think we can make private capital
markets more robust and efficient while
making sure investors are protected?
How do you achieve that in your business?

I think any company that invests in the training of their employees with product
knowledge will not only help protect a company but will help with educating the
investor and allow the investor to have more of an understanding of what they are
investing in. 1to1Real is finding new ways to help Dealing Representatives to learn
more and to have a better understanding of their products with our KYP workbooks.

Fostering an environment based on full
and fair disclosure, integrity and trust will
increase investor confidence, which in
turn will support a more efficient operating
framework for the private capital markets.

My opinion is that the PCMA, as the voice
for the private capital markets professionals,
should focus on investor protection.
The PCMA should provide the industry
with: best practices, standards, education
and certification. This will bring trust and
confidence to investors. The PCMA should
offer a framework that all EMDs should
follow; thus, create a cohesive market. It is
important that we provide unified approach
in order to avoid further issues down the line.
All EMDs should be encouraged to adopt
these best practices for investor protection.
Thank you Oscar. We appreciate
your input and ideas. The PCMA is
currently developing a very similar
model - stay tuned and engaged!
