President of The PCMA Quebec Chapter, Jo-Ann Lempert, FCPA, FCA is a Partner in the Assurance practice at MNP. She works with a number
of companies that require specialized expertise in complex standards in financial reporting relevant to certain market sectors, such as public
companies, exempt market dealers, and other reporting issuers, as well as private companies that are highly regulated. Jo-Ann specializes in the
application of accounting principles to complex transactions under Canadian Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE), Accounting
Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations (NFPO) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Prior to joining the firm, Jo-Ann ran her
own consulting practice specializing in advising corporations, accounting firms, not-for-profit organizations and universities on the proper application of Canadian
GAAP, Canadian Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) and IFRS. Jo-Ann is a contributing author for Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada, a
Course instructor for the Order of Chartered Professional Accountants of Quebec and the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario. In 2000,
Jo-Ann was designated as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and became a Fellow in 2016. She earned her Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting
and Entrepreneurship) degree from McGill University in 1998 and completed her Diploma of Accounting at Concordia University in 1999.
